If You Were Told You Will Die On Friday, & Today Is Monday, What Would You Do?

I'm a big fan of hypothetical questions. Especially when it comes to this type of "what if you knew your death date kind of question"

Very refreshing and also takes me out to another perspective about how I will view things based on my current circumstances.

I did think about this type of scenario before and it definitely did impacted some of my decisions I have made.

Actually to be honest, we really have no idea when will we have our final breath, only God can dictate our last breath and last day on Earth.

If I knew that I have 4 more days to live on this Earth... These are the list of things I would do:

1. I would propose to my boyfriend and go on an impromptu trip to somewhere fancy for maybe 2 days?
2. I would take lots of photographs with my children and write birthday letters for them since I know that I wouldn't be able to hang around when they celebrate their birthdays next year.
3. I would like to serve people for a day. It can be nursing home, orphanage...
4. I would like to volunteer at an animal shelter.
5. I would help my parents declutter and clean up their house. I would also take the chance to thank them for raising me up and to appreciate their love towards me.
6. I would hang out with my brother and spend the entire day with him. We could go to a Karaoke place and just have a meal together, take photographs for memory sake.
7. I would want to get married in a vintage church, have the proper handover from my father to my fiance.
8. I would want to talk to the senior pastors and leaders in the church.
9. I would have one to one quality time with each child.
10. I would invite everyone to a fancy place which I decorated with my artworks and dedicate a long speech to them.
11. I would ask the people I love to write an eulogy for me to see.
12. I would go to the funeral parlor to get the required things done - Eg. Where do I want to be buried or cremated and what type of funeral would I want to hold when I pass on.
13. I would wrap up all those nice and expensive things that I have and pass it to the people in my life whom I know would put a good use to it.
14. I would paint the last drawing on a big canvas.
15. I would join the worship team to praise the Lord.
16. I would join a local church choir.
17. I would organize a worship session with my boyfriend where he can play the guitar whilst I can play the piano and we can sing together with my children.
18. I would pray for the last time before I catch my last breath on Earth.

Seemingly quite a long list of to-do list. It also reveals where my true desires lie. Because when we no longer have the luxury to postpone the things we really want to do... It simply just drives us to the point where we will just go with all our might to accomplish things that we deem as scary. It's just because of the fear of regret and knowing that time is limited, there wouldn't be time for us to be scared of rejection or fear of people's opinions of our acts.

It's really interesting to think about this type of hypothetical question when we are stuck in life. When life's problems makes you feel hopeless and out of breath, think about all the things you have yet to accomplish and the blessing of being alive as we have another day to live to do what we want to do. As long as we are alive, we can make a difference!

Have a blessed week :)
