a letter to my future husband

Thank you for choosing me to be your lifetime partner. I'm so privileged that I get to grow old with my best friend and have a home with him. I'm so thankful that God has chosen you to be my man and for blessing me with you. You are so kind, generous, meticulous, gentle and efficient. I love how you always know what are the most appropriate words to say at the right time. Your level of maturity always inspires me to become a better wife to you.

I'm thrilled to have your last name, something I would hold dearly to my identity for another few decades until we leave this world.

It's not purely coincidental that we have crossed paths with each other. We are not two broken souls seeking to complete each other, we are two complete souls seeking to complement each other. God has sent us to be together so that we can be a blessing to the others.

It's not purely an accident that we both swiped like on the dating app and the event that occurred thereafter.

I could still remember how it felt like when you asked my parents for my hand. The moment you went down on one knees in front of my family...that moment was such a fond memory that I cannot possibly forget. I was reminiscing our old photos, dated to the first few times we went out together. We have been through so many ups and downs. It just clearly showed to us how much we needed to work on ourselves so that we can become a better version of ourselves for each other.

Thank you for being the rock when I'm smashed into pieces by life. You are my best partner in crime and I can't wait to build His house with our blessings.

I also cannot wait to hear our baby calling you "baba" and us going through the hustles of life together.

It is so exciting just by imagining and we know that this is just the start of something beautiful because you are not only my lover but my home. You are where my heart is.

Till then,
Stay safe and keep growing in Him

I will be your rightful wife when the time is right

“We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)
